强仔求来上上签- No 48

27/06/07 - I went to WaterLoo- Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple praying .... and also I try out the 求签.....

求签-divination activity. Qian or divining sticks, which are wooden sticks with writing, are placed in a brass can and shaken.

When the sticks fall out I went back to the counter to return the equipment the temple's staff then pass me a slip of pink paper - Divining No. 48 . The divination slip has 2 side .

1 side write in Chinese where it tells us what about the divine. It has story in it.

Other side appear to be translations for English-educated devotees and tourists -- like me chinese 半桶屎。。。mother told me to pick up the book left at the side of the hall. The book will tell us detail what the slip is all about . Also in both Chinese and English .

The slip wrote :

"Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho (Temple) No.48

A fledgeling soon grows to be a mighty bird. It then flies to heights, other birds could not attain.

Interpretation : Good

One is luckyto get this prediction.Every good thing comes naturally."

Try to look thru the internet to find the detail meaning of divining slip.... no answer.... Anyone know which website to go to ?????

Hiker 1617

Hiking 1617 was announced on the early may. . . 2 week before going Daniel said cannot manage due to work constrain. Last minutes kien boon received duty from his camp. . . At first, wanted to postpone but the room we book cannot change date. As, the room was book thru AXS. . . but decide to separate our arrival to Genting.

Janice, Siew and I will take the night bus to genting. Then meet kien boon next day at KL. . . I had bought bus ticket at Merlin Tower at JB for $50/pax. . . I was late on meeting them; we were late of the bus as there were also many people going thru the custom. Luckily, I left my phone number. they call me once I reach JB custom . . .rush to the travel agent and take the bus ticket...rush to Komtar realizing the bus we going to board was down, so we need to change to another. . .We board the new bus. Seat allocated to us was at the rear . . . the seat still able to tilt back . . . but can felt the bumping action.

The bus took us all the way up to Genting. We alight in-front 1st World. We walk up the slope to Theme Park Hotel. . . 4am in the morning the hotel reception officer drew out Kien Boon particulars from a no show folder. . . I then pass to her Kien Boon's authorize letter. . Theme Park Hotel has 2 wings. . .Room given to us was at the 2nd wings. We had to take the lift to 7th storey then walked to the end of the main wing to take another lift to get our room. Our room was way down at the 1st floor. No fan No view, window cannot be open. Immediately call up the receptionist and request to change room. No room available as it was a peak season. Have to wait till 9:00am. Had a short nap.

8:00am once I woke up, picked up the phone and call the reception to remind about the change of room. We change to the room at the main wing at the 7th floor. The new room was not clean up, so we waited till the housekeeper finished cleaning.

Change some money in the bigger the rate was better. Quicken our step we went to buy the bus ticket coming back to Singapore. Wah…. early in the morning no more tickets. We had to ask around. Ended up buy ticket back by 1st causeway…. We then went to铜锣湾 to had our brunch... we were such an ice cream crave... we had it straight after the meal. Too bad they did not have my favorite strawberry cheese ice cream. I had to order the coconut one. We headed back to our room to freshen up ourselves.

After, the freshen…. Watch cartoon…. We back to the bus interchange beside the 1st World hotel. We bought ticket to go KL… Genting Express $5.60rm /ticket . Every 1/2hr there will be 1 Genting Express. The super express real fast ….1.5hr it will reach the LRT stop – Titiwangsa. There we check the last bus back to Genting will be @ 9:00pm……

From Titiwangsa we buy the LRT ticket to Bukit Bintang. Shopping and eating …. It was raining at KL.

Once up the bus I make my self comfort and sleep all the way till the express way….. The bus was traveling extremely slow … haiz…..

At last it reach JB …. Jam like nobody business. We decide to alight the bus nearer Komtar and walk to JB custom. Got the immigration chop…. 人山人海…. Heehee walk over the causeway to the Singapore Checkpoint … Such long time since poly I walk across the causeway …..

Once reach Singapore, everyone was tired ….
